How to Manage Disappointment
Let’s get straight to the point: disappointment is a consequence where you manifested something but it didn’t come to your expectations. It is not very easy to deal with disappointment as an emotion. But there are very helpful ways to reverse your disappointment in order to help with self-development.
1. Reflect
When dealing with negative emotions, it is important to not bottle up everything. Whenever there is a feeling of disappointment it is important to self-reflect on things that need clarity. The important factor is that you have the time to do it. If you do not reflect, these emotions will pop up at the most inappropriate times.

2. Adjust
The best way to avoid disappointment is to adjust your expectations. Avoid meeting up high expectations the next time you do something. But if you have your sights set on a certain result, bring up a backup plan to avoid disappointment.

3. Take a break
Feelings can be too hard to handle and the burden of disappointment. It’s always best to take a rest after working so hard. The stress must be released and should not be held back. Sometimes when we feel a lot of pressure, sleep might just be a solution to release all the negative emotions we feel.

4. Seek guidance/Talk to someone
It can be spiritual or just reach out to someone to tell how you feel. As humans we tend to need empathy from other people. And having support can just help that disappointment go away. Talk to someone and listen to what they have to say.
Disappointment might be the worst feeling ever, however you do not deserve to feel it forever. Learn how you can move on from the feeling so it doesn’t eat you forever. Let disappointments be a lesson to you and adapt to whatever you have now.
